Jordan and I woke up at 7:00 am Christmas moring to SILENCE! Merry Christmas to us! While I of course went back to sleep, Jordan went downstairs. Colby came into our room at 8:00 am looked at me and said, "Where's Dad"? Usually he would climb into bed with me and want to watch cartoons. When I told him Dad was downstairs he immediatly headed down without another word. Carter was following right behind him.
The snow tubes were the biggest hit. Carter could have been happy just getting that. All he wanted to do was sit in his tube and eat candy.
Colby's favorite present was his Scooby Doo Mystery Machine and all the Scooby Doo characters
A $10 snow tube was all Carter really needed. If only Santa had known...
Carter's second favorite present was his Follow the Light Thomas
More Mystery Machine (what happened to playing with the Toy Story stuff he wanted???)
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Petersen for the Leapster. Once the excitement of the Mystery Machine wore off, this has definintly become the most played with toy.
Carter loves his remote control Thomas from Grandma and Grandpa Petersen. It would be played with more if Mommy would put the track together for him!
Colby and all his loot!
Carter and all his loot!
I think it took us about 2 hours to get through all the presents...with lots of opening and playing in between. Then, we had belgium waffles with strawberries and whipped cream on top for breakfast. That may become our new christmas breakfast, although I think I enjoy it more than anyone else. Later that afternoon we decided to go sledding with the new tubes. This was the first time we have ever taken the kids sledding. They had a blast and we both fearless.
We ended Christmas Day with a big dinner, phone calls and Skype with family, and lots of assembling!
REady for sledding with binky, blanky, and Playdoh!
Lazy Colby always left his tube behind for someone else to bring up the hill! About half way through he went and sat in the car and played with the toys he had brought along.
Carter is a tough one...he kept going...and going...and going. Of course he always got carried up the hill which made the whole thing a little more enjoyable for him.
