Carter's 3rd Birthday

Guess what everyone? I'm 3 years old now which means I've graduated from being a toddler to being a preschooler! I had an awesome birthday party this year. Mom and Dad let me pick what I wanted to do and I chose to have a Mickey Mouse party at home with a Mickey cake. I was very insistent on the Mickey theme and cake. I kept reminding everyone just to make sure they didn't forget. I got to invite all my best friends. A couple of days before the party Mom took me shopping while Colby was at school and I got to pick out my cake, balloons, decorations, and party favors. We had fun the night before the party setting up all the decorations, and Colby and I were REALLY excited that night for the party to begin. When my friends came to my house we played with lots of my toys, we ate lunch, played pin the tail on the donkey, searched for Toodles around the house, ate cake and ice cream, and opened and played with my presents. All my friends wanted to open the presents that they brought and I was very patient with them and let them do it. It was a really fun party and we all had LOTS of fun. The next day was my actual birthday. I went to church and brought a special treat to nursery then came home and finished off my birthday cake. I've got a little bit of a cold and my doctor found an ear infection at my 3 year check up, but I'm not letting it slow me down too much. I get to take medicine twice a day which I think is a really good. It's like a special treat just for me! Here are some pictures from the party...

This is the decorating Colby and I did for the party. We think we did a pretty good job!

These are the Mickey cookies Mommy made for my friends to take home in their favor bags.

We had fun playing pin the tail on the donkey.

This is my friend Porter. We were buds in nursery (he's older than me so he's not in nursery this year)

This is my friends Devin.

This is most of us eating lunch. We had hot dogs (because Mickey sings the hot dog song), mickey mouse shaped cheese, chips, apples, and oranges.

This is my good friend Gavin. He lives across the street. He just wanted to play with toys and didn't want to eat lunch or cake or play games with us, so this is the only picture we have of him.

They told me I had to wait to blow out my candles until they sang Happy Birthday. This is why I look annoyed!

Present opening time got a little crazy! Everyone wanted in on the action!

Zoobs from G&G Petersen

Mickey Piggy Bank from Grammy.

Porter got me this drum. He was pretty excited about it!

Mommy, Daddy and Colby got me this microphone, some Legos, and a movie.
