Mason 5 Months

Mason--

At five months old you are so very close to rolling over, but just haven't seemed to find the motivation to do so yet. You roll to your side, squirm, kick, and wiggle your way around to get a few feet from where I put you. If I put you on your tummy you usually end up on your back pretty quickly by rolling over. We are actually a little worried what we will do when you start rolling then crawling. We have little toys everywhere around here and are really going to have to do some baby-proofing. During the day you rotate around between your activity gym, excersaucer, Bumbo seat, and swing. Colby and Carter are great little babysitters and they move you around, get you new toys, and entertain you. I always think you look so uncomfortable in the places/positions they put you in, but you rarely seem to mind. You are just happy to be part of the club. You started eating cereal a few weeks ago and they fight over who gets to feed you. They switch off, Colby giving you a bite, then Carter. You aren't too patient between bites and scream for more. We don't know what you weigh, but you seem to have really chunked up over this last month and although you still get your one bottle per day, I'm not all worried about your weight. Your 3-6 and 6 month clothing still fits for now and you wear a lot of 6-12 month clothes you got for Christmas that are just a little big. Your hands are still always in your mouth and you drool like crazy. I sometimes put a bib on you so you don't soak your shirts. You've become pretty vocal and laugh, yell, and screech for fun. For a few months you wouldn't take a bottle and really just wanted Mommy, but you've done much better over the last month with both taking a bottle and cooperating when Dad is babysitting. You are happy to see Dad and let him hold you which is a nice break for Mom.
